FIELD: hydrometallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of hydrometallurgy of precious metals and can be used in the processing of concentrates containing selenium and precious metals. The method for processing a concentrate containing selenium and precious metals includes mixing it with sodium carbonate and water, roasting the charge, leaching selenium from the cake in water, separating the selenium solution from the insoluble residue containing noble metals, while roasting the charge is carried out at temperatures of 350-400°C, and the insoluble residue from the leaching of selenium from the cake is dissolved in hydrochloric acid in the presence of oxidizing agents.
EFFECT: increasing the efficiency of the selective separation of selenium from noble metals and concentration of noble metals in an insoluble residue, which can be processed by traditional methods of metal opening and separation.
