FIELD: wireless communication.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of controlling a user equipment device in wireless communication networks, namely to controlling power saving. At least one of the use instruction or the refusal instruction are received relatively to the energy saving process for the user equipment device (stage 100), the energy saving process is used for the user equipment device, if the instruction is the use instruction (stage 130), and the use of the energy saving process for the user equipment device is refused, if the instruction is the refusal instruction (stage 120). The energy saving process contains context saving for the user equipment device after a procedure of disconnecting from the network by the user equipment device (stage 236b).
EFFECT: increase in the efficiency of disconnecting – reconnecting of energy saving due to the fact that, when accounting the target use of UE context saving, significantly longer context saving can be maintained for specific UE or UE classes, providing the possibility of a reduced communication procedure before communication events.
