SUBSTANCE: invention concerns pliers (1) for removing insulation having two jaws (2, 3), two external clamping jaws (19, 20), two internal cutting jaws (22, 23) and two handles (4, 5), while the cutting jaws (22, 23) can be shifted by traction (30) when the handles (4, 5) are compressed from the initial position to the final position, while also the cutting jaws (22, 23) in the direction (r) of their displacement are mounted on a rocker part (46, 47) movable in the shifting direction (r), which, for its part, rests on a rocker (48, 49) fixed relative to the clamping jaws, and with the help of this rocker part (46, 47) the cutting jaws (22, 23), depending on the closed position of the clamping jaws (19, 20), while this closed position determines the movement of the rocker part (46, 47), are moved at different distances to each other. In order to make the pliers for removing insulation of the mentioned type more perfect, in particular, from the point of view of matching the cutting depth of the cutting jaws, it is proposed that the rocker part (46, 47) can be adjusted independently of the closed position of the clamping jaws (19, 20) with respect to the position relative to the rocker (48, 49).

EFFECT: invention provides a more precise adjustment of the cutting depth.
