FIELD: hand tools.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to clamping jaws (19, 20) for insulation stripping pliers (1) in each case with clamping surface (F) and mounting ledge (76), wherein on clamping surface (F), ribs (81) are made that pass transversely to the longitudinal direction of cable (21) clamped in a mounting position, with groove-shaped recesses (82) passing, accordingly, between them that have recess bottom (83). In a mounting state of clamping jaws (19, 20), ribs (81) can enter recesses (82) of opposite clamping jaw (19, 20), depending on the thickness of clamped cable (21). In addition, the invention relates to blades (24, 25) for insulation stripping pliers (1), wherein blades (24, 25) have on their free ends, which end on top (69) of the blade with an angle, acute in the cross section, contour line (70) that is, relatively to a side view, on which contour line (70) forms a finishing line of blade (24, 25), has recess (71), wherein contour line (70) is set on blade (24, 25) made as a single whole, and recess (71), on the side view, is a continuously bent line with the first radius (a), if necessary.
EFFECT: invention provides, depending on the thickness of the clamped element, for a geometric closure of opposite clamping jaws in any case of the convergence end, while achieving the optimal effect both a large and a small cable diameter.
