FIELD: computer technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of computer technology for audio data processing. A signal decoded in the first frequency range called the lower range is received; tonal components and an environmental signal are extracted from a signal arising from the decoded lower range signal; tonal components and the environmental signal are combined by means of adaptive mixing using coefficients of power level adjustment to obtain a sound signal called a combined signal; and the decoded lower range signal is extended on at least one second frequency range, which is higher than the first frequency range before the extraction stage, forming the extended decoded lower range signal UHB1(k), wherein the extraction contains following operations: (a) calculating tonal energy of the extended decoded lower range signal; (b) calculating the environmental signal in the absolute value corresponding to the average value of a spectrum level of a spectral line by a spectral line, and calculating energy of prevailing tonal components of the decoded lower range spectrum.

EFFECT: increase in the accuracy of decoding of the sound frequency signal.
