SUBSTANCE: invention relates to processing of audio signals. Technical result is achieved by extracting the tonal components and an environment signal from a signal from a low-band decoded signal; combining the tonal components and the environment signal by adaptive mixing using energy level control factors to produce an audio signal, referred to as a combined signal; and expanding the low-band decoded signal before the extraction step or the combined signal after the combining step on at least one second frequency band that is higher than the first frequency band.

EFFECT: improving the quality of audio signal processing while extending the frequency range of the audio signal.
