FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a technology of production of hydrogen sulfide from hydrogen and elementary sulfur by a continuous method using a catalyst with a fluidized layer. The method includes following stages: (a) bringing sulfur into contact with a solid catalyst in a zone A, containing at least one metal selected from metals of groups VIB and VIII of the Periodic table of elements, in the form of metal sulfide at a temperature from 120 to 160°C; (b) circulating a mixture of sulfur and catalyst from the stage (a) in a reaction zone containing a tubular reactor B formed of a ascending vibrating screw-shaped spiral channel, in which the specified mixture is brought into contact with hydrogen, wherein the reaction zone demonstrates a temperature at a catalyst input point of more than or equal to 150°C, and a temperature at a catalyst output point of less than or equal to 300°C, and pressure of less than or equal to 3·105 Pa; (c) separating the catalyst and gaseous effluents containing hydrogen sulfide in a zone C', and (d) recirculating the catalyst to the stage (a).

EFFECT: invention provides for full conversion of elementary sulfur at milder temperature and pressure conditions in comparison with used known technologies, and obtaining hydrogen sulfide with increased yield.
