FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of metallurgy, namely to a sheet of electrical steel with an oriented grain structure, used as the material for manufacturing iron cores of transformers. The sheet has a thickness of 0.18 to 0.35 mm and comprises 2.5 to 3.5% wt. of Si and 0.005% wt. or less of C, the rest Fe and unavoidable impurities. The metallographic structure of the sheet after secondary recrystallisation annealing comprises secondary recrystallised matrix grains with Goss orientation. In the metallographic structure, the frequency of the presence of grains with Goss orientation with a size in the main or long diameter of 5 mm or less among the grains of the matrix is 1.5 grains/cm2 or more and 8 grains/cm2 or less. The magnetic flux density V8 of the sheet is 1.88 T or more, and the angles α and β of deflection of the direction [001] of grains with Goss orientation from the direction of rolling, defined as the average or arithmetic average values, are 7° or less and 5° or less, respectively, wherein the angle α is the angle between the longitudinal direction and the projection of the direction [001] on the surface of the sample, and the angle β is the angle of inclination of the direction [001] relative to the surface of the sample.
EFFECT: significant improvement in the core losses is provided without deterioration of the magnetic flux density.
