FIELD: engine technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of transport engine construction, in particular to means of facilitating the start of a diesel engine in conditions of negative temperatures of a cold climate. A gas-electric flare device is proposed that facilitates the start of a diesel engine in conditions of negative temperatures of a cold climate, including a gas cylinder 10, a gearbox 9, an adjustment valve 4, flare pin plugs 5 with gas fuel jets, gas pipelines connecting the gearbox 9, the adjustment valve 4 and the flare pin plugs 5, an additional resistor with an electrothermal relay 3, a push-button switch 1, a relay 6 for blocking and disconnecting the generator excitation winding, a control lamp 2.
EFFECT: device makes it possible to increase the reliability of starting the engine, reduce its warm-up time and improve the environmental characteristics of the engine.
