FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to agriculture, in particular to milking equipment. A vacuum pump for a milking machine contains the main vacuum pipeline containing at least two vacuum pump units to maintain the system vacuum in the main vacuum pipeline. Each of vacuum pump units contains a pump, a vacuum tank connected to the pump by means of an intermediate pipeline, and an inlet pipeline connecting the vacuum tank to the main vacuum pipeline. A drainage system outputs from the vacuum tank and contains a drainage valve. The pump sucks air from the main vacuum pipeline through the inlet pipeline, the vacuum tank and the intermediate pipeline. The vacuum pump unit contains a shut-off valve presented on the inlet pipeline and made with the possibility of closing the inlet pipeline in automatic mode, when the pump is stopped.
EFFECT: fast and accurate drainage of the vacuum tank is provided.
