FIELD: medical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medicine, namely, to a medical apparatus for introducing a medical fluid into the body or for controlling the introduction of a medical fluid into the body, and to a method for detecting a short circuit therein. The apparatus comprises a user interface coupled with an electronic circuit connected to the first and second ports of the controller. The electronic circuit provides a possibility to detect the impact on the user interface by the controller. The first port is therein configured as the output port. A first signal is supplied to the first port. A second signal is received from the second port. Based on the second signal, the fact whether a short circuit has occurred is determined. In the corresponding case, a short circuit warning signal is generated. The electronic circuit comprises a first line and a second line, connecting the first and second ports of the controller with the first and second platforms, respectively. The first and second platforms are connected to the supply voltage through the first and second resistors, respectively, and are connected to the ground voltage through the first and second switches connected to the first and second user buttons, respectively.
EFFECT: warning signal is generated in case of a short circuit in the medical apparatus in order to prevent false detection of the impact on only one button of the apparatus by the user as simultaneous impact on both the first and second user buttons.
