FIELD: protective coatings.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a coating designed to protect stainless steel used as parts from corrosion during the coating process on steel strips by immersion in a melt. A stainless steel substrate with a corrosion-resistant coating includes a coating containing graphite nanoplates and a binder representing sodium silicate, while a stainless steel substrate has the following composition, wt.%:
C ≤ 1.2, Cr ≥ 11.0, Ni ≥ 8.0 and optionally one or more elements: Nb ≤ 6.0, B ≤ 1.0, Ti ≤ 3.0, Cu ≤ 5.0, Co ≤ 3.0, N ≤ 1.0, V ≤ 3.0, Si ≤ 4.0, Mn ≤ 5.0, P ≤ 0.5, S ≤ 0.5, Mo ≤ 6.0, Ce ≤ 1.0%, iron and unavoidable impurities being the rest. The method for coating a steel strip by immersion in molten metal includes the stage of moving the steel strip through a molten metal bath containing a part in the form of a downchute, drain, immersion roller, stabilizing roller, roller support, roller flange, pipeline or pump element. At least a fragment of the said part is in contact with molten metal and is made of the said stainless steel substrate with a corrosion-proof coating. The installation for coating a steel strip by immersion in molten metal includes a molten metal bath containing the abovementioned part.
EFFECT: stainless steel substrate is provided, which is well protected from corrosion in contact with molten metal, which makes it possible to limit inspections, maintenance and replacement of equipment, as well as prevent embrittlement, deformation and breakage of equipment.
