FIELD: aviation.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method for detecting conditions conducive to the occurrence of surging, which can affect a low-pressure compressor of a gas turbine engine of an aircraft, wherein the mentioned gas turbine engine additionally includes a high-pressure compressor, wherein the mentioned method is characterized in that it includes: the first stage of measuring (E10) change in the speed (dV) of the mentioned aircraft; the second stage of measuring (E20) change in the mode (dN2) of the mentioned high-pressure compressor; the preliminary stage of measuring (E30) the height (A) of the aircraft; wherein conditions contributing to the occurrence of surging are revealed, when following conditions a), b) and c) are simultaneously met: a) the mentioned speed change (dV), measured at a given time interval, corresponds to acceleration exceeding the first (S1) positive limit, and b) the mentioned measured mode change (dN2) corresponds to deceleration less than the second (S2) negative limit; c) the mentioned height exceeds the third (S3) set limit. The present invention additionally relates to a device for actuating a method for detecting conditions conducive to the occurrence of surging.
