Measurement of first temperature (T25) is by first temperature transducer. Measurement of second temperature (T3) is by second temperature transducer. Measurement of third temperature (T25M) simulates said first temperature. Determination of at least one control setting for at least one component of equipment of varying configuration, of engine subject to said measured first temperature. Note here that said method differs from know processes in that said first transducer features the first time constant C1 larger than second transducer constant C2. This method additionally includes the step whereat water or hail suction is detected subject to the drop of said measured second temperature. In case said water or hail is detected, aforesaid control setting is defined depending upon said evaluated third temperature.
EFFECT: prevented surge at temperature measurement faults.
