FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building and may be used in cutting tough metals and alloys at belt cutting machines. Proposed machine comprises ribbon saw fitted on drive and driven pulleys, two ribbon belt guides and vibration drive. The latter is arranged on one of the ribbon saw guides to comprises inner-gearing spur gear and support plate arranged to press ribbon saw to gear wheel outer surface. Spring-loaded striker is fitted on axle inside gear wheel to strike on a tooth of said gear wheel located closer to direct line connecting geometrical centers of gear wheel support plate.
EFFECT: reduced cutting forces, higher durability of ribbon saw thanks to lengthwise elastic wave in saw ribbon.
