FIELD: oil and gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to seismic exploration of oil and gas fields and, more specifically, relates to the processing of seismic data on a high-speed digital computer using processing technology. The method for increasing the resolution of seismic data includes: the formation of an initial cube of seismic data from elastic waves, the selection of the formation under study, the determination of an analytical pulse describing the amplitude-frequency and phase characteristics of the formation, the creation of reservoir models, the creation of a vocabulary of wavelets, the approximation of model responses from the created vocabulary of wavelets; reconstruction of the reflection coefficient trace with the formation parameters, obtaining a cube of relative acoustic impedance by recursive inversion of the reflection coefficient trace for the studied formation and determining the boundary values of the acoustic properties of rocks using the resulting cube of relative acoustic impedance.

EFFECT: increase in the accuracy of forecasting the geological structure of the formation in the inter-well space, the reliability and detail of the forecast (determination) of the geological structure of the formation to identify effective formations while simplifying the interpretation of seismic data by increasing the resolution of the seismic wave field and increasing the accuracy of mapping (interpretation) of the geological object according to seismic data.
