FIELD: separation of solids.
SUBSTANCE: area of application: for X-ray radiometric separation of manganese ores. The substance of the invention consists in the fact that pieces are consecutively passed in front of a sensor, irradiated by primary x-ray emission, secondary x-ray emission is excited in the pieces from each piece, the characteristic fluorescent x-ray emission (CFXE) of manganese, iron and scattered emission are simultaneously measured by proportional detectors, wherein the effect of iron on determining the manganese based on the ratio of CFXE of manganese to the scattered x-ray emission summed with the CFXE of iron, the intensity whereof is taken with a certain spectral coefficient, is included in the enrichment criterion.
EFFECT: increase in the degree of enrichment of manganese ores during X-ray radiometric separation.
