FIELD: dressing chromium-containing ores. SUBSTANCE: method includes crushing and screening at separation into classes: 150 + 40 and 40 + 20 mm followed by roentgenoradiometric separation of ore into two flows according to separated classes in lump-by-lump mode at simultaneous separation into commercial concentrate and tailings which are later subjected to reworking by standard procedure. Separation is performed according to algorithm where η is magnitude of separation indication, Ncr,Fe is total number of roentgen quanta corresponding to characteristic radiation of chromium and iron; Ns is number of pulses corresponding to characteristics radiation of iron; K is spectral coefficient selected experimentally for compensation for iron effect and geometry of measurements.
