FIELD: heating.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of military affairs, to means of simulating objects with areas of heated surfaces, e.g., gas exhaust manifolds of armoured vehicles, from means of destruction with heat self-homing heads. The heat target simulator comprises a catalytic wick furnace (2) and is additionally equipped with a metal cassette (3) in the form of a folding assembled sheet metal structure, represented by a base in the form of a tray with a square bottom (4), whereon the furnace (2) is installed and whereto installation bolts (5) with wingnuts (6), pressure bars abutting against the body of the furnace (2) and securing the position thereof, side walls (8) with pivoted attachment of rectangular sheets (10) thereto by hinges (9), with latches (11) pivotally secured on the outside thereof, configured for the installation angle to be adjusted. Each rectangular sheet (10) on the outside is covered with a heat-reflecting polyethylene terephthalate layer and two side sheets of triangular configuration with locking apparatuses allowing for locking the angle of rotation thereof, forming a closed contour around the furnace (2) in the unfolded position, are attached thereto pivotally.

EFFECT: efficiency of heat emission of the catalytic furnace is increased by concentrating energy from all emitted surfaces to a predetermined area, performance coefficient is increased, amount of furnaces needed to simulate a single piece of equipment and fuel consumption are reduced.
