FIELD: thermal engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of simulating objects having areas of heated surfaces, for example, engines of automotive equipment, against means of destruction with thermal homing heads. The thermal simulator of equipment contains catalytic wick furnaces (2), a frame and a woven re-emitter. Additionally, it contains transformable supports (5) for furnaces (2) with support (6) and installation (7) discs hermetically connected to each other, a corrugated chamber made of airtight heat-resistant fiberglass with vermiculite coating containing an adjustable throttle (9), outer (10) and inner (11) rings, articulated guides (12), which consist of a lower part (13) rigidly fixed end to the support disc (6), a ball bearing (14) and the upper part (15), passing through the eyelet (16) of the installation disc (7) with the possibility of moving it in a vertical plane, which in its central part has a socket for installing a transport safety cover with a portable handle, and on the reverse side two pairs of magnets (20).
EFFECT: simulation characteristics of the thermal simulator are brought closer to the characteristics of a real object by gradually changing the temperature of the re-emitter and at the same time including its side surfaces in operation.
