FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for producing a fluorinated organic compound, including the stage of fluorination of an organic compound by interaction with a source of fluorine in the presence of an iodine-containing polymer with one or multiple aromatic fragments containing hypervalent iodine; wherein the organic compound constitutes a carbonyl compound with a hydrogen atom, or a compound with one or multiple unsaturated carbon-carbon bonds, and the source of fluorine represents a source of fluorine represented by the formula: MFn, wherein M represents H, a metal of group 1 of the periodic table, or a metal of group 2 of the periodic table; and n equals 1 or 2, an iodine-containing polymer with one or multiple IF2-substituted aromatic cyclic fragments, or a combination thereof.
EFFECT: proposed method allows for easy separation and isolation of the iodobenzene derivative.
