FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for producing a fluorinated organic compound, including a stage A of fluorination of an organic compound by interaction with a source of fluorine in the presence of an aromatic compound containing hypervalent iodine or in the presence of an iodine-containing aromatic cyclic compound and an oxidant; wherein the source of fluorine constitutes a source of fluorine represented by the formula: MFn, wherein M represents H, a metal of group 1 of the periodic table, or a metal of group 2 of the periodic table; and n equals 1 or 2; and a stage B of isolating an iodine-containing aromatic cyclic compound from the reaction solution after the beginning of stage A.
EFFECT: method allows for production of a fluorinated organic compound, application whereof allows for easy separation and isolation of the iodosylbenzene derivative.
