FIELD: shipbuilding.

SUBSTANCE: ship optical landing system for visual determination of a distance to a ship from a helicopter contains two range indicators fixed at edges of a ship stern, inside each of which, there are light sources with optical systems and light flux modulators, forming independently oriented, immobile light sectors fixed relatively to cases of range indicators in such a way that light sectors of the first range indicator intersect with light sectors of the second range indicator in a diametrical plane of the ship at different distances behind its stern, while the design of range indicators ensures the stationary position of light sectors relatively to the ship.

EFFECT: safety of flights on aircraft carriers is improved.
