FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for manufacturing metal strips by adjustable rolling. The metal strip is directed through a rolling mill containing several rolls. The values of the parameters during rolling are adjusted and saved, wherein the data on the thickness and flatness of the strip is collected. Said values of the parameter during rolling are used as initial values foe producing a strip with a preset profile of a variable thickness along the length of said strip. The metal strip is therein placed so as to ensure passage thereof through the gap between the rolls during rolling, the bending of the rolls is controlled, and the preset profile is obtained.
EFFECT: technological capabilities are expanded and the amount of production waste is reduced as a result.
