FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to non-ferrous metal metallurgy, in particular, to a method for molybdenum production. Molybdenite calcination with calcium is carried out to obtain a calcinated product of molybdenum calcination. The calcinated product of molybdenum calcination is leached with inorganic acid to obtain a leaching product containing molybdenum. Molybdenum is extracted from the leaching product using a cationic extractant to obtain an organic phase loaded with molybdenyl cations and raffinate, while the cation extractant is represented by at least one of following extractants: P204, P507 or Cyanex272. As a purifying agent, a hydrogen peroxide solution is used that is mixed with the organic phase loaded with molybdenyl cations to obtain molybdenum purification liquid. Molybdenum purification liquid is heated to separate peroxymolybdenic acid in it to form a molybdenum acid precipitate. Then, calcination is carried out to obtain molybdenum trioxide.
EFFECT: method solves the problem of the formation of waste water containing ammonia nitrogen, and it can be used to enrich and release rhenium.
