FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to non-ferrous metallurgy, particularly, to extraction of molybdenum and rhenium from sulphide molybdenum-containing concentrates. Method of processing molybdenite concentrates involves preliminary mixing of concentrate with one of cheap magnesium-containing mineral rocks - magnesite MgCO3 or brucite Mg(OH)2 in amount of 110 % of stoichiometrically required for complete binding of molybdenum, rhenium and sulphur to non-volatile compounds. Then performing charge oxidation annealing at 600 °C for for 60 minutes and resulted stub is leached with solution of alkali metal carbonate.
EFFECT: technical result is higher efficiency of method for oxidizing firing rhenium-containing molybdenite concentrates.
