The method for the treatment of carcinoma of lower pathway urothelium in an individual includes the injection to the individual of the effective amount of gemcitabine, where gemcitabine is locally delivered to the bladder, where carcinoma of lower pathway urothelium is muscle-invasive bladder cancer, where gemcitabine is continuously delivered to the bladder of the individual during a period from 24 hours to six weeks.
EFFECT: above-described method allows for the effective treatment of patients with muscle-invasive bladder cancer.
