FIELD: rail track maintenance.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of operation of the upper structure of the railway track, in particular to devices for placing the railway track in the design position, as well as to methods for placing the railway track in the design position according to altitude marks. The device contains a track template with a rod, a base with clamps, a level and a laser pointer. The pointer is connected to the rod by an adjustment screw to fix the high-altitude position of the track before and after the repair. The method consists in determining the difference in the height marks of the top of the head of the outer rail. Marks are placed on the supports of the contact network. The measurement results are compared with the design values.

EFFECT: labor costs are reduced when laying the rail track.
