FIELD: pumping equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to pumping equipment and can be used to create installations for pumping liquids, the leakage of which into the atmosphere is not permissible. The effect achieved by the fact that in the known centrifugal pump, consisting of a pump housing, a shaft, an impeller fixed on the shaft, a double mechanical seal, consisting of two single mechanical seals with a separation cavity filled with a barrier liquid, according to the invention, the volume of the separation cavity is made such that the volume of the barrier liquid in it is sufficient for both lubrication and cooling of single mechanical seals, wherein in front of the double face seal, a hydrodynamic seal is installed, for example, in the form of blades on the rear side of the impeller and/or an impeller is installed, a chamber is formed in the separation cavity, in which there is a mechanical seal closest to the impeller, and a device is installed on the shaft, which when the shaft rotates, it creates excess pressure in the chamber.
EFFECT: simplifying the design, reducing the cost and operating costs of a centrifugal pump, reducing the likelihood of pump failures, increasing reliability and service life.
