FIELD: aviation.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a device and a method for sealing gaps of variable geometric configuration in aircraft systems. The aircraft contains hull (316), seal (318) and energy storage device (320). Hull (316) is connected to structure (308) in exhaust system (300) of aircraft (304). Structure (308) is placed relatively to surface (306) inside exhaust system (300) in such a way that there is gap (310) between surface (306) and structure (308). Seal (318) has end (322) placed in contact with surface (306) to reduce exhaust flow through gap (310) and connected to hull (316) in such a way that seal (318) passes inside hull (316). Energy storage device (320) is connected to hull (316) and is brought into interaction with seal (318), providing the possibility of progressive movement of seal (318) in the first direction relatively to hull (316), when gap (310) is increased, and in the second direction, opposite to the first direction, relatively to hull (316), when gap (310) is decreased in such a way that seal (318) continues to reduce exhaust flow through gap (310), when changing the size of gap (310). The method for sealing gaps of variable geometric configuration is characterized in using energy storage device (320).
EFFECT: group of inventions is aimed at reduction in the exhaust flow through the seal gap, when changing the size of the gap.
