FIELD: medical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a medical article represented by an improved endoprosthesis, which is a transfemoral or transsaphenous intravenous apparatus for complete isolation of the hepatic vascular system. The endoprosthesis for complete isolation of the hepatic vascular system, applied in surgical operations, comprises a cylindrical retractable intravenous catheter, a self-expanding membrane folding around the axis thereof, means of generating and transferring heat between the intravenous catheter and the self-expanding membrane, as well as means of corresponding heating and cooling of said membrane. The retractable intravenous catheter can be bent across for insertion through a subcutaneous vein, followed by being guided into the inferior vena cava, has a diameter corresponding to the inner diameter of the subcutaneous vein. The self-expanding membrane is attached to the distal part of the intravenous catheter, is made of a shape-memory alloy, has two states: a first state of folding around the axis thereof, associated with a first temperature T1, and a second expanded state associated with a second temperature T2, wherein T2 is equal to human body temperature, and T1<T2.
EFFECT: endoprosthesis ensures ease of use due to being applicable and adaptable to different patients with different sizes and lengths of the internal anatomical structures; ensures normal operation of the vena cava while providing reverse blood flow to the heart during surgical intervention, preventing partial or complete blockage of blood circulation and need for artificial blood circulation; ensures expansion or compression of the self-expanding membrane placed in the distal part due to the application of control means including not only certain mechanical tools and/or movement transmitting tools, but also certain heat conducting means so that the entire system can provide a specific efficiency, ease of application, and also occupy a small space.
