FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, in particular, to a supporting structure for an argon-oxygen converter. The converter in the supporting structure by means of supporting trunnions is installed in the transmission, configured to rotate or tilt, respectively, and is connected thereto, configured to rotate jointly. The transmission by means of a torque lever is constantly supported on the foundation to reduce the costs for the corresponding supporting apparatus and simultaneously provide a possibility of better control of the torque applied by the converter to the transmission. The time-varying actual torque MIst (t) applied by the converter to the transmission is therein adjusted to the preset required torque MSoll.
EFFECT: invention provides a possibility of preventing the swinging of the converter at a resonant frequency, wherein said swinging causes severe damage to parts of the supporting structure, in particular, the transmission and the torque lever.
