FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a method and a device for controlling vehicle braking. Method includes processing signals in emergency braking mode, calculating adhesion coefficients, reducing or increasing pressure in braking mechanism, setting a signal which characterizes wheel dynamics. In order to stabilize directional stability, components proportional to modulus of difference between bead mean accelerations of wheel angular velocities coincide in sign with corresponding between-bead differences of wheel angular velocities. To create damping moment and deceleration rate for different values of wheel slippage and to reduce oscillation process, components proportional to derivative of wheel angular velocities are added.
EFFECT: optimum wheel slip in emergency braking.
