FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mechanical engineering, namely to devices for signaling the presence of metal particles in the lubrication system of mechanical devices containing wear-prone parts. The chip-in-oil alarm system contains Chip-in-indicator and Chip-in-oil displays, an electromagnetic chip detector and an automatic adjustment and control unit connected via signal transmission channels to the displays and the electromagnetic chip detector, including a device for analyzing signals coming from the electromagnetic chip detector. The analysis device contains a counter, timer, adder and a unit for calculating the value of the gamma distribution function.
EFFECT: when implementing the invention, a sequential analysis of an unfixed number of signals of the operation of an electromagnetic chip detector is provided in each diagnostic cycle.
