FIELD: monitoring and measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for signaling presence of metal particles in a lubrication system. Method involves receiving pickup signals from at least two signal plugs, processing the obtained signals in an analysis device and generating a discontinuous signal "Chip in oil" when the first signal plug and the continuous "Chip in oil" signal are triggered while reducing the reliability of diagnosis to the level P<1-α, where αis predetermined probability of false actuation of plugs-alarms, as well as device for implementation of said method, containing board "Chip in oil", a device for analyzing the presence of chips in oil and at least two signaling plugs connected through channels of signal transmission to the input of an analysis device, the output of which is connected to the scoreboard "Chip in oil".
EFFECT: technical result consists in accounting for probability of false alarm system operation.
