FIELD: valves.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to shutoff and control valves. The shutoff and control valves comprise a valve casing (11), placed wherein is the valve body configured to be rotated by the valve shaft and intended to open and close the passage section of the outlet pipe. The valve body comprises a valve sealing at least partially located on the peripheral edge of the valve body so that the gap formed between the valve body and the inner wall of the outlet pipe is sealed by the valve sealing in the radial plane of the sealing in the locking position of the valve body. The inner side (20) of the valve body facing the volume of the locking liquid is covered by the valve sealing so that the liquid contact surface located on the inner side (20) is formed by the valve sealing.

EFFECT: development of shutoff and control valves wherein the material for the valve body can be selected regardless of the chemical resistance thereof, thereby providing a possibility of optimising, primarily, the mechanical properties of the material used for the valve body, without imposing special requirements for the chemical resistance.
