FIELD: image data processing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to equipment and a method for imaging based on the data of a 3D image, providing an incomplete representation of the scene. The result is achieved by the fact that the imaging equipment comprises a receiver (101) receiving the data of a 3D image, providing an incomplete representation of the scene. The view vector source (103) provides a playback view vector indicating the playback point of view for the image. The playback unit (105) plays the first area of the intermediate image for the playback view vector based on the image data from the data of the 3D image. The extrapolator (107) extrapolates the data of the 3D image to a second adjacent area of the intermediate image, wherein the 3D image does not contain image data for the second area. The blurring processor (109) forms an image in response to the application of a spatially modifying blur to the intermediate image when the degree of blurring is higher in the transition area between the first area and the second area compared to the inner zone of the first area.
EFFECT: increase in the productivity and reduction in the need for hardware resources when imaging based on the data of a three-dimensional image.
