SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of transport engineering and is intended for starting the engine of a motor vehicle and supplying said vehicle with heat and electric power when the engine is inactive. To ensure operation of the automobile and start the engine, the generator is transferred to the engine mode and the clutch is activated. Voltage is applied to the starting relay moving the axle in the longitudinal direction with the gear engaging with the flywheel and transmitting torque from the generator thereto through the wheel. The flywheel starts to turn, and the engine starts by rotating the generator shaft, switched to the generator mode, by means of the crankshaft and the freewheel clutch. The heat power source, the clutch and the starting relay are then deactivated and the gear disengages from the flywheel, returning to the initial position prior to starting. In order to maintain heat in the engine and a comfortable temperature inside the cabin, while the engine is still active, the clutch is deactivated and the heat source is started, followed by deactivating the engine. The operating heat power source continues to rotate the generator supplying electric power to the electrical network of the automobile and to heat the liquid in the tank with the heat released during operation thereof. The heated liquid therein is raised upward by gravity, and a cooler liquid flows into the place thereof from the cooling system.

EFFECT: structural simplification, expansion of the functional capabilities, and improvement in the operational characteristics are achieved.
