FIELD: metalworking.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of metalworking and can be used for high-precision turning of the outer surfaces of axisymmetric parts, in particular for turning shafts on universal machines in manufacturing. A device for turning the outer surface of an axisymmetric part contains a tool holder with roughing and finishing cutters installed in the axial direction. These cutters are mounted with a constant offset in the axial direction. Both tool holders are equipped with integral elastic elements. The finishing cutter is set from the condition of removing the allowance equal to the size of the roughness protrusions of the machined surface from processing with a rough cutter. Between these cutters, a beam is installed, made with a built-in elastic element and ensuring the transmission of vibrations from the rough cutter to the finishing cutter. A hydraulic damper is installed parallel to the beam, which provides a phase shift of the finishing cutter relative to the rough cutter.
EFFECT: accuracy and quality of processing is increased by reducing the roughness and reducing the energy consumption of the clean turning process by using the energy of metal destruction in rough turning and high-frequency vibrations of the finishing cutter, equal to the frequency of chip lamelling.
