SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for high-precision turning of the outer surfaces of axisymmetric large parts. A device for turning the outer surface of an axisymmetric part contains a tool holder with roughing and finishing cutters installed in the axial direction, as well as a hydraulic amplifier for the vibration amplitude of the finishing cutter installed between the cutter holders. The amplifier housing is rigidly fixed to the tool holder and has two built-in hydraulic cylinders connected in series. The piston rod of the first hydraulic booster, with a larger diameter, is rigidly fixed to the rough cutter holder, and the piston rod of the second, smaller diameter hydraulic cylinder is rigidly fixed to the finishing cutter holder. The output of the first hydraulic cylinder is connected to the input of the second. The transmission of vibrations from the rough cutter to the finishing cutter is ensured with a gain greater than one equal to the ratio of the larger diameter of the hydraulic cylinder to the smaller diameter.
EFFECT: accuracy and quality of processing is improved by reducing roughness and reducing the energy intensity of the clean turning process through the use of the energy of metal destruction during rough turning and high-frequency vibrations of the finishing cutter.
