SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the composition of an electrical insulating coating based on aluminum and magnesium phosphates and silicic acid sol for anisotropic electrical steel. The specified composition has the following ratio of components, wt. %: Al and Mg phosphates 20-40, silicic acid sol 20-45 and modifying additives in the form of zirconium silicate ZrSiO4 0.01-2, potassium orthovanadate K3O4V 0.1-3, vanadyl hydrophosphate VOHPO4 0.1-3 and manganese metahydroxide MnO(OH) 0.1-2, water up to 100.

EFFECT: electrical insulation coating is provided without chromium compounds (Cr(III) and Cr(VI)), which has high values of corrosion and moisture resistance, adhesion to metal, marketable state and electrical resistance coefficient.
