FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture, selection and primary seed growing. Method involves sowing true varieties of seeds and/or true seeds of potato hybrids on a substrate and obtaining seedlings. Seedlings are planted with their simultaneous selection according to the manifested features in non-sub-hydroponic installations, the design of which enables to visually observe and control the development of plants and the root system, transplant each plant irrespective of age, carry out selective transplants for the entire period of the vegetation, group by any type of feature, including by the time of the manifestation of the feature, record results in electronic form for each plant.
EFFECT: method enables accelerated selection of potato seedlings in one vegetation period with selective transplantation, grouping by any type of features and taking into account time of manifestation of features when creating particularly valuable varieties, as well as initial selection material.
