FIELD: nuclear reactors.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a device for capturing solid particles in a fuel assembly (FA) of a nuclear reactor, installed in the tail of FA. The device consists of two plate-type filter elements fastened to each other, located one above the other and having channels for the passage of the coolant of a certain length and width. Moreover, in the lower filter element, the channels are located at an angle to the FA axis, and in the upper filter element, parallel to the FA axis. The channels can be made, in particular, by the method of waterjet cutting in the form of slots in the field of the filter element plate, separated in length by vertical ribs, and in width - by bridges. Roundings are made on the vertical ribs and bridges between the channels of each filter element, and there is a gap between the vertical ribs and channel bridges made in the plates of different filter elements. Rounding of vertical ribs and bridges can be made from the side of the gap between them. The jumpers of the upper and lower filter elements can be offset relative to each other. Also, the jumpers of the upper filter element can be located at an angle to the axis of the fuel assembly in the direction opposite to the slope of the channels of the lower filter element.
EFFECT: invention provides the ability to retain and capture solid particles of any size in the coolant circuit, without reducing the flow area for the coolant.
