FIELD: transportation.

SUBSTANCE: invention concerns a device for lateral guiding a metal stripe moving along a transportation device. Device (1) includes at least one module (3) of the main part with guiding surface (4), as well as at least one wearable part with wearable surface (5a, 5b, 5c) for guiding contact with guided metal stripe (2). Wearable part (6) is installed on bearing element (7), or wearable part (6) includes bearing element (7). Bearing element (7) is supported in module (3) of the main part with the possibility of displacement in the direction of axis (10) of rotation and with the possibility of rotation. Before or during lateral guiding metal stripes moving along the transportation device for a metal stripe, the position of the wearable part relatively to guiding surface (4) is changed by the displacement of bearing element (7) before guiding contact with the first metal stripe and/or during guiding contact with the first metal stripe.

EFFECT: decrease in the need for replacement of the wearable part by changing the position of the wearable part relatively to the guiding surface.
