FIELD: mining.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the mining industry and can be used for constructing road, railway, and utility tunnels in category III and IV soils. The tunneling unit comprises three rows of direct-flow rotary rippers installed stepwise on the frame of the unit. Each upper row is offset backward and in height. The frame of the unit is supported by the track-type undercarriage. Side trippers are welded to the frame of the unit. Passive knives are installed on the frame of the unit: one lower knife, six side knives, and one upper knife, a lower slide, three screws, a conveyor frame, a fixed part of the conveyor, a platform, and a cabin of the operator are also installed on the frame. The fixed part of the conveyor includes a retractable part of the conveyor. Drums and a movable drum, enveloped by the conveyor belt, are installed on the conveyor frame. An engine, two containers for the working fluid, an intermediate solution container, an intermediate waterproofing container, six pumps for supplying solution and waterproofing are located on the platform. A water-air heat exchanger and a gas-air heat exchanger are connected to the engine. Driven by the engine are: a ripper pump, a screw pump, a conveyor pump, a movement pump.
EFFECT: application of the tunneling unit allows to execute the entire package of work related to tunneling with the lowest consumption of energy and time, increase the performance coefficient of the engine as a heat machine.
