FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building, robotics and can be used in pneumatic and hydraulic equipment. Invention is most effective for operation of drives of curvilinear movement of movable links of industrial robots. Disclosed is a method of operating a bellows drive of curvilinear displacement, which includes supplying the working medium in chamber (A) formed by bellows (1) and end plugs (2, 3) connected to each other with the possibility of limiting the axial length of the chamber, wherein the pressure in the working chamber (A) of bellows (1) is controlled and the value of the limitation of the axial length of working chamber (A) of bellows (1) is changed due to reduction of length of rod (5) located in cavity of working chamber of bellows, for control of trajectory of curvilinear movement of bellows.
EFFECT: proposed technical solution expands functional capabilities of bellows drives due to control of curvilinear movement path.
