FIELD: catapults starting devices.
SUBSTANCE: proposed device relates to starting devices (catapults) and can be used to launch aircraft. The catapult for take-off of an aircraft consists of a frame (1), on which an accelerating device is fixed, made of a body (2) in the form of a cylindrical cone-shaped pipe, on which guides (3) are fixed with the possibility of moving the carriage (4) with the aircraft (5), fixed in the initial position with a latch (6). A toroidal hermetic shell (7) is installed in the body, fixed on the inner surface of the body (2), forming a chamber enclosing the rod (8) with a hermetic shell (9). The toroidal chamber (A) and the rod chamber (B) are designed to be connected to the pneumatic pressure supply lines. The rod is connected by a cable (10) through a block (11) to the carriage (4). A damper (12) is fixed on the body in the extreme position of the carriage.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of the catapult, simplified design, increased reliability of the launch of the aircraft, providing the possibility of launching objects with a greater starting weight and thrust of the power plant.
