SUBSTANCE: invention relates to refrigeration equipment. The refrigerator includes: a storage room designed to store food; a cooler configured to supply cold to the storage chamber; a first tray assembly configured to define a portion of an ice-making cell that is a space in which water turns into ice as a result of a phase change due to cold; a second tray assembly configured to define another portion of the ice making cell. The second trough assembly is coupled to an actuator to contact the first trough assembly during ice making and to be spaced apart from the first trough assembly during ice separation. The refrigerator includes a heater adjacent to at least one of a first tray assembly or a second tray assembly. The refrigerator also includes a controller configured to control a heater and a drive. The controller is configured to control a heater to be turned on in at least a partial section while the cooler supplies cold so that the bubbles dissolved in the water inside the ice-making cell move from the ice-making section to the water, which is in a liquid state to make the ice clear.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to produce ice having uniform transparency, as well as high transparency, while reducing the delay in the speed of ice making.
