Refrigerator comprises a first tray assembly forming part of the ice making cell, and a second tray assembly forming another part of the ice making cell. First tray assembly includes a first tray defining a portion of the ice making cell, and a first tray body supporting the first tray, and the second tray assembly includes a second tray defining another portion of the ice making cell, and a second tray body supporting the second tray. One of the housings of the first and second chutes includes a first part having a shape corresponding to a cell for making ice, and a second part passing from a certain point of the first part so as to support one of the first tray and the second tray.

EFFECT: increased transparency of ice without reduction of its production rate.
