SUBSTANCE: invention relates to optical communication equipment and can be used in PON passive optical communication systems. To realise the technical result, disclosed are a communication network and an associated apparatus. The communication network includes a first optical linear terminal, a second optical linear terminal, and equipment located in the premises of the subscriber. The second optical linear terminal is connected with the first optical linear terminal at the higher level via the PON interface and is additionally connected with the equipment located in the premises of the subscriber at the lower level via the PON interface.

EFFECT: provided possibility of creating a PON network in remote areas by reducing the amount of transmission apparatuses when deploying the transmission network.
